Favorite Thing #5 - Milk & Cookies

Milk and cookies - one of my favorite things on the planet! When I was little my mom would always make homemade chocolate chip cookies. They were perfect and everyone loved them! On my birthday, my friends would all get excited because they knew that I'd get to bring in Bobbi's famous chocolate chip cookies to share with everyone at school. (It wasn't until years later that I realized Mom got her 'famous' recipe off the back of a package of Toll House chocolate chips, but nevermind that!) I learned from her that the key to really great chocolate chip cookies is to take them out of the oven about a minute or two before they look like they're done - that way they stay soft, deliciously gooey and perfect!
As soon as Mom's cookies would come out of the oven, I was prepped to dunk them into an ice cold glass of milk. Little pieces of cookie might fall into my glass, but that only made the milk taste that much more delightful once all the cookies were gone.
Delicious!
